The naruto started their series showing off various dojustu eyes power such as the byokogan,sharigan,rinne sharigan, rinnegan,tenseigan, mangekyo sharingan and so on.

Now to the Naruto next generation, the son of Naruto now exhibit a very mysterious power which is the jougan. We would discover that the Jougan is a is still unknown to us the Kekkei Genkai and has visibly appeared on the right side Boruto eye. The power manifested itself due of the chakra of the Nue for the first time. This jougan is still mysterious because it has granted Boruto chakra but has not really activated itself after Nue himself was defeated. Later, after the Nue was defeated, the Jougan didn’t really activate any longer. But one thing we are sure of is that it is related to the otsutski clan.

Boruto has the ability of sensing invisible barrier with that eye.Through that eyes it clearly seen that boruto eyes has some characteristics that makes it experience the inside of a thing, looking at at his encounter with Sumire Kakei.That eye seems to be a very powerful. but we are still waiting to see how much power it has. Boruto has not gain full access to the jougan.

The Jougan also help in sensing chakra and to make those chakra visible to him.Looking at that eyes closely you will see that it can also help in making visible chakra pathway which is aso possible with Byakugan.

Rumor has it that the boruto was from the Toneri due to its coming in the naruto movie so some people that the it's from Toneri but we are not sure while other believe that it's a Dojustsu from Byakugan.Let hope to see what the future about the eyes. But to me i clearly think that power should be from the Otsutsuki clan because the Jougan was inherited.from the chakra of Hinata and Naruto.

it seems Jougan represents the pure Chakra originated from Hagoromo and Hamura’s combined power.

Toneri also talked about the destiny of Naruto in which Boruto is destined to help the world and prevent it falling to the darkness. His eyes which is the jougan will help in purifying the darkness of the world.

Boruto was able to detect Momoshiki’s spirit after he had died, or see the invisible barrier of Space time created by the Nue. This Dōjutsu is also related to space and time, and we saw that when Boruto detected the Kamui like Dōjutsu ability during the Nue arc. It can see things that are not from this realm, and that is basically because of its connection to the Otsutsuki Clan. The Otsutsuki are not from this realm in which Boruto exists.

In the art of momoshiki, we could see Kinshiki Otsutsuki, Momoshiki Otsutsuki, and the Third Otsutsuki as well. The Dōjutsu that Kinshiki Otsutsuki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki possessed, was very similar to Jougan, it just similar to the Jougan. So, of that’s the case, then each and every ability of the Jougan will be explained to us without much difficulty, and it’ll be done very soon.
